The Super Monkey Ball series comes from SEGA and as with Sonic, the game is best played at quite a high speed. As frantic as it is, it does force you to quit messing about on the one platform and gets you moving through the level and hopefully learn a little of the mechanics.

There are 48 levels in total which are gradually unlocked and several game modes including practice and multiplayer challenge (pass the phone style) are available. The easiest and quickest way to unlock the levels is to bash through the practice mode. Subsequent levels are still unlocked and you don't need to fuss with the continues and high scores until you are ready.

Yes folks, you guessed it, this is G@meloft's answer to Saints Row which is a GTA style game.

And being a typical G@meloft game it doesn't disappoint. The graphics are nice and colourful and have a very street look about them. There are several districts which have their own distinctive buildings and even though you have a top down view, the main character and people walking around (I need to go to a place where women walk around with bikini tops!) look nice if a little small. The cars are not bad either although they definitely have a 2D SNES look about them. However, this is great as my car is in there! A red looking car with two white stripes (no, not a mini!) so I defintely enjoyed going out for a cruise. Another thing is the little effects like the tyre marks when you're skidding around and the jumping and sliding around the cars, Dukes of Hazzard style or the switches from day to night.

Yamakasi 'Parkour' Master Multi

Parkour is the art of moving through the city in an unconventional way that originated in France. It's movement that, contrary to the assumptions of city planners, makes use of all available elements of the environment. The “philosophy” of parkour also emphasizes perfecting and strengthening oneself both physically and mentally. As with any extreme sport, we're competing with ourselves. Every time we get past an obstacle we overcome the internal fear and resistance, and thus we become stronger and know ourselves better. It must be noted that it's about harder stunts than just getting over a meter-high fence.

Yamakasi is a real-life group of French daredevils, sometimes called modern samurai. It was founded by Yann Hnautra, Laurent Piemontesi, Chau Belle, Williams Belle, whom you can become in the game. They have been training in the Paris suburbs since around 1997. Today this urban technique can be compared to skateboarding in the 70's or wave surfing in the 60's. Teenagers from around the world practice motion art techniques developed by the Yamakasi. Their legacy is huge and new techniques that can be seen on video websites, are popping up from Warsaw, Mexico City, Seoul to Lisbon.

In the game Yamakasi Masters you become one of the masters of the discipline and you can play in one of 5 different modes:

Training — Learn the controls as well as basic tricks to be better and faster during the Adventure and Challenge!
Adventure — Begin the Adventure as one of the members of Yamakasi! Learn new tricks and win the parkour championship!
Challenge — In this mode you can compete for the best time, the most points for tricks or the best overall score. Upload your scores and see how you fare against the best!
Free run — Had enough competition? Run around the city without a time limit. You can practice or just see any of the locations in order to be better in the Challenge or the Adventure!
Bonus — Bonus levels provide additional fun! Free running in a casual sense.
Every mode has subsequent levels to complete, while your character develops. You can perform basic and special tricks, such as: Monkey, Reverse, KingKong, UnderBar, UnderBar 360, Barrel, Kash, Wallflip, BackFlip, FrontFlip, Aerial, Sideflip and more!

Life in the fast lane... under the city...

The Subway, Underground, Tube, Metro... whatever you want to call it, you drive it! Go from stop to stop on your line and make sure you reach the next station before the allowed time expires or you'll be penalized - but don't go too fast or you'll forget the people!

There is a set time during which you must get to the next station on the line, but it's not enough to just breeze by, sticking to the schedule is the key. The closest you get to the scheduled time the better, since arriving too early is just as bad as arriving too late.

What's more, you can't forget about the people, they're the reason you're even down here. Each person safely transported to their station of destination yields a bonus. At the end of the line your driving is summarized. You get bonuses for staying on schedule and for every safely transported passanger, and you get penalties for the opposite.

In between shifts you can customize your train. Make enough money and you'll be able to buy a plane ticket to move to another city... to make even more money. Visit and work in the biggest cities around the globe and when you decide it's finally time, buy yourself a one-way ticket to retirement paradise.
